TREVE COTTAGE ART FESTIVAL 2018
Dates 21st July - 5th August
Treve Cottage nestles in the beautiful West Sussex countryside in the heart of the South Downs National Park and for two weeks every year becomes the home of The Treve Art festival.
At least 19 artists will come together for the fortnight to exhibit, demonstrate their artform and run art workshops.
This year we will have a special focus on silk artist and Treve show founder Bronnie Cunningham (1932 - 2018) who hosted this festival for over 20 years.
It began with just Bronnie, her son Euan and daughter in law Sally for a weekend show with a photocopied invitation and enough visitors to count on your 2 hands.
Since then it has grown to encompass a large gathering of local and national artists and has hundreds of visitors each year enjoying the beautiful surroundings, high quality of art and opportunity to meet and purchase from the artists directly.
Discover the variety of art exhibited in The Marquee, 16th Century Cottage, The Old Studio, New Barn and enjoy a stroll around the woodland sculpture trail and garden to find more artworks at Sandy's Shed.
Children are very welcome and again there will be free, drop-in,
ART WORKSHOPS for adults and children every weekend suitable for all ages.
Places are limited so come early on the day to secure your place.
There is also the Arty Dip (just like a lucky dip but with art themed prizes), FREE Art Making Zone for children and the Musical Garden Sculptures to create a performance on.
Watch the Art Demonstrations in Wood Carving, Weaving and Spinning.
Pop Up Cafe on Saturdays and Sundays 12-4pm
Free Parking and Free Entry.
